I used to change batteries for customers' watches and had all the tools to perform the job. One day, a customer brought in a Citizen that would open no matter what I did. I told the customers that I could not continue without risking scratching the watch. Well, I managed to scratch the watch and never managed to budge the lid.

Just purchased one of these, but just noticed you have to remove the grey movement holder for it to fit in. But to do that i need to remover the dial. Is that correct, if so i just wasted £30 😫

4:16 I bought the Laco Dortmund MANUAL winding (SW210) In the Sellita SW200 the coupling between the barrel gear and the manual winding gear is DISASTROUS. And in fact the barrel gear always gets ruined if the watch is wound manually.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MaMaCoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

If you want a more yellowish patina you can use turmeric, dissolve some in a very little water apply on hands/markers. Put in oven for 10 minutes and done.

It's funny because the ETA technical data sheets tell you to remove the stem in the winding position which is the way I've always done it and it's about a 50% success rate. And everyone else says time setting position. I've never tried the time setting but im going to try it next time for sure .

I have a Swiss watch that is broken for 3 years but the combination of digital and manual, Swiss and Japanese watches have their own advantages.

The arguments for the differences between the mechanisms are ridiculous, you showed that the NH35 mechanism moves the date long before the required time, this is nonsense since it is a manual calibration and it is possible to make the Japanese mechanism precise which will move the date exactly at midnight (speaking from experience).
